Our Pastor & Staff

Thomas Myers
Pastor

Pastor Tom has served as Senior Pastor of Neighborhood Alliance Church since 1996.

In prior positions, he has served as Senior Pastor in New Jersey and Canada, and also in the positions of associate pastor, youth pastor and minister of education in Ohio. He is actively involved in foreign missions, having ministered short-term in Haiti, Bolivia, Namibia and Lesotho, and is currently serving on the mission board of Christ's Hope International.

Tom and his wife, Linda, have three adult children, and their favorite verse is Psalm 34:3. Tom's favorite activities include hiking, biking, landscaping, reading and just being together with Linda.

The people of Neighborhood Alliance Church truly appreciate Pastor Tom's leadership, his dedication, and the personal relationships he builds. Opinions such as the following, written by one of our elders, are not uncommon throughout the church:

Pastor Tom Myers is a true man of God with a great gift for teaching and preaching. He is a man of great prayer, is steadfast, loving and caring - yet has a tremendous gift of humbleness before the Lord. He is a true servant of God with a remarkable personal relationship to Jesus.

He is also a wonderful friend with a quick sense of humor, and places all at ease with his outlook of life, love and servanthood. Pastor Tom is a man that exudes Christ in every aspect of his daily walk, setting a superb example to emulate in daily life in Jesus.

Laura Slezak
Student Ministries Director

Laura serves on staff with Student Ministries at Neighborhood Alliance, primarily in leading the
student ministry.

She is also on staff with Cadre International, a support-based ministry that assists local churches in equipping and encouraging their volunteers - especially in churches that lack resources for traditional training. These two ministries combine Laura’s heart for investing in students and the leaders who work with them - to help them love God and serve him effectively (Eph. 4:11-12).

Laura served as a volunteer junior high leader for five years and as a volunteer youth director for two years in the Midwest before coming to NAC. She was also on staff with Sonlife Ministries in Elburn, IL as their publication editor and Equip conference coordinator.

She recently completed an M.A. in Theology from Wheaton College Graduate School and earned a B.A. from Taylor University in 2000.

When she’s not hanging around teenagers (or being mistaken as one), Laura enjoys coffee shops, books, good music, and exploring new places.

Lynne Wright
Administrative Assistant

In every successful ministry, there is a special “behind-the-scenes” person that keeps things running smoothly. For Neighborhood Alliance, that person is Lynne Wright, our administrative assistant.

Lynne has served with us for over ten years, and combines her wealth of creative, practical and organizational skills with a wonderful sense of humor in helping to make NAC a wonderful place of ministry.
