Nursery & Child Care

Welcome!

Parents... Welcome to the Neighborhood Alliance Church Nursery & Child Care Ministry. We believe your child is a special gift from God, so we want to provide the best love and care possible. Our volunteers play an important role in this ministry, and they understand their responsibilities towards your precious little ones.

Locations open 10 minutes prior to each event. Parents should come for their child IMMEDIATELY following the event. To avoid confusion at the nursery door, it is suggested that only one parent come for their child.

Note 1: 2yr-olds will be brought from the Nursery to Room 205 at the end of the Sunday School Hour.
Note 2: Please pick your children 4yrs and older after Sunday School so they may join you for the first part of Morning Worship Service.
Note 3: Children attending Kidz World will attend Sunday Worship Service until dismissed during Praise and Worship. See your Sunday Bulletin and watch for a message on the overhead display.

Things to Know in Advance

Nursing Moms: A nursing area is provided for nursing moms.

Cleanliness: Nursery bedding is changed after each use. Beds and toys are wiped down with a solution after each session.

Food: Under normal circumstances, nursery-age children are not to be fed any meals during services. Bottles are fine, though, for safety reasons, the Nursery Staff cannot mix formula for babies.

Illness: Children who are sick (fever, colored mucus from the nose, coughing, vomiting within the last 24 hours, rashes, etc.) will not be allowed in the nursery. If your child develops a fever or other illness, you will be asked to take your child home. Report any allergies to your child's teacher.

Our Nursery & Child Care is a Volunteer Co-op

Parents and volunteers serve once per rotation (about every 8 weeks). They also help with cleaning toys & bedding. Dads and moms are encouraged to team up together for nursery duty.

Nursery Policies and Procedures

A Nursery Policies and Procedures booklet is available in the nursery for your review. It contains:

  • Guidelines for Nursery Volunteers

  • Diapering Procedures

  • Discipline Policy

  • Tips for Soothing a Crying Baby

  • Etc.

Be sure to read it prior to serving.
