Are
Not Ashamed
"Be diligent to present yourself
approved to God as a workman who
does not need to be ashamed, handling
accurately the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15
About Awana
The
Awana program uses a handbook that
children use to learn and memorize Bible verses as well as learn about other
areas of the Christian life. These other areas can include obeying parents,
praying for friends, praying for family, and praying for missionaries.
Our program at Neighborhood
Alliance Church reaches 3-year olds through 5th graders. The children
are divided by age groups, and handbooks are divided into various sections
that the children learn and recite to their leaders each evening.
A uniform is earned after the child has
completed his or her entrance test for that specific age group. As they work
through the handbook, each child earns various awards which they attach to
his or her uniform.
We strongly encourage parents to work
with their children as they learn the various handbook sections.
